Sensing Bodies

Description

Content/Context Sensing Bodies consists of a flow of snapshots in the public space of Tokyo throughout a day. The protagonists are business people, seen individually or collectively taking everyday pauses in parks, squares, sidewalks, passages of a business district, or in the subway. The film subtly explores the silent, dialogueless presence of people and unexpectedly highlights the internalization of societal norms and control, as well as the experience of social distance and loneliness, but also the possibilities of individual freedoms.
