Season Opening Party Surses

After a longer break, the Season Opening returns to Val Surses – and in a very special form: For the first time, all youth teams of the Surses region are organizing the event together and invite you on Saturday, December 19, 2026, to the Sala Grava in Savognin. Look forward to a live concert with Volxrock (concert starts at 8:30 PM, doors open at 7:45 PM) as well as an afterparty with DJ Vojager into the night. Food and drinks will also be available. The Season Opening brings locals, second-home owners, and guests together and marks an atmospheric start to the winter season. With the revival of this beautiful tradition, the youth teams want to create an event that unites people and re-establishes itself as a fixed part of winter in Val Surses. Volxrock
What well-known band can rock the biggest Heavy Metal open-air in Wacken and simultaneously lively folk festival tents? Such a thing doesn't exist? Oh yes! Volxrock from South Tyrol serves us a powerful musical potpourri of styles that shouldn't really exist in the world of box thinkers. Because Volxrock combines solid rock and heavy metal with nature sounds and melodies of traditional folk music. Everything is allowed and possible with Volxrock... Volxrock members are Christian Gartner (vocals, guitar, trumpet), Marco Egger (guitar, vocals), Werner Gartner (E-Bass, diatonic accordion, vocals), Michael Weger (drums, guitar). The band's style and trademarks are unmistakable, and it is no coincidence that Volxrock has become a catchy term for energetic live shows in Germany and Austria. The band has been part of the new wild folk music scene from the beginning, which also includes groups like LaBrassBanda, voXXclub, hmbc, or solo artists like Andreas Gabalier. Volxrock manages to excite and engage both young and old through the anarchistic mix of heavy metal, classic rock, rap, and folk music traditions.
