Description
Shaped by mobility, prosperity, and individualized lifestyles, our built environment has increasingly developed into an accumulation of monofunctional and often only partially used spaces. At the same time, a change is emerging: multiple uses, shared infrastructures, and flexible spatial concepts are gaining importance in the sense of the sharing economy. They open up new possibilities for resource-conserving management of existing buildings and challenge established notions of use and ownership. How this change can succeed, what challenges are associated with it, and which approaches are already being discussed and implemented today in architecture, urban planning, and design are illuminated by Schauraum B within the framework of a series of events with lectures and discussions. The lectures with Anja Beer, architect FHNW, Beer Merz Architects SIA BSA, and Andreas Hindemann, architect, Evangelical Reformed Church Basel-Stadt and Münster Master/Managing Director of the Basler Münsterbauhütte Foundation, are dedicated to the topic "Sharing Space: Sharing of Sacred and Church Spaces."
