Count's Indulgence: Royal Menu from 1836 at Velké Březno Castle. We have prepared a unique gourmet event for you. The founder of the castle, Count Karel Chotek (Supreme Burgrave of the Kingdom of Bohemia from 1826 to 1842), organized the coronation of the new Czech king Ferdinand V and his wife Maria Anna in September 1836. The celebrations included two grand banquets in the Vladislav Hall of Prague Castle, each for only 144 selected guests. After 190 years, you can taste exactly what the noble tongues indulged in back then. In every room of the Velké Březno Castle, a tasting portion of selected food, prepared according to historical cookbooks and archives with the help of a Master Chef, will await you. Tasting Coronation Menu (9 delicacies) Practical information and organization When: Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. How the tours proceed: Groups of a maximum of 15 people depart every half hour. Limited capacity: Just under half of the tickets can be purchased online, with a larger portion available directly at the castle's ticket office. Note: Regular tours of the castle interiors will not take place on this day for understandable reasons. We look forward to seeing you!
