Jana Hrochová & Michal Mašek & Otakar Brousek ml. Musical-dramatic program at Velké Březno Castle Our traditional festival musical-dramatic programs at the castle in Velké Březno continue. For this October day, we have prepared an exclusive program full of emotions, virtuosic music, and spoken word. 1st half: Solo piano pieces by Fryderyk Chopin (mazurkas, ballade, scherzo, or fantasy) performed by Michal Mašek. 2nd half: Jana Hrochová, soloist of the National Theatre in Brno, will present Dvořák's Gypsy Melodies and popular mezzo-soprano arias, including the famous Habanera from the opera Carmen. The accompanying word: Actor Otakar Brousek ml. will tastefully enhance the musical experience with readings from letters of famous composers. (The organizer reserves the right to change the date and program.) Artist profiles Jana Hrochová (mezzo-soprano) She is one of the most prominent figures in the Czech opera scene. She is a soloist at the Janáček Opera of the National Theatre in Brno, guesting at the National Theatre in Prague and the State Opera Prague, and regularly collaborates with leading domestic orchestras, including the Czech Philharmonic. Michal Mašek (piano) A top Czech pianist who will guide you through the captivating world of Chopin's compositions. Otakar Brousek ml. (artistic recitation) A significant Czech actor, voice actor, and member of a famous acting family. A graduate of the Prague Conservatory, he worked for many years at the J. Průcha Theatre and the Fidlovačka Theatre. Since 2012, he has been a resident actor at the Vinohrady Theatre.
