Description

In Bremgarten, some still know him as a guitarist, singer, and keyboardist of numerous bands. For several years, he has made a name for himself as a singer-songwriter and is now playing again in his old homeland after a long time. Marcel Roth is considered a musical all-rounder; he writes lyrics, sings, plays guitar, piano, bass, and produces his songs from A to Z alone. For several years, he has been writing in dialect – sometimes biting and socially critical, sometimes humorous with linguistic wit, and always again about love. To give his lyrics the necessary space, he increasingly plays with reduced accompaniment. For the former rock guitarist, this reduction, omission, and leaving space in the arrangements is a step towards "reducing to the essentials." He can also rock with the acoustic guitar. In contrast, he also plays beautiful ballads on the piano. Speaking of piano: Since Rosso cannot play several instruments at the same time, he is accompanied in the cellar theater by two friends: At the piano sits the well-known SRF moderator Reto Brennwald. The two have known each other since the 90s and played together in a Zurich blues rock band. On bass is Andi Egert, a good music colleague from the Sarganserland, Rosso's chosen home for 25 years. "I look forward to Bremzgi ... and hope to see many old acquaintances again!"
