The Swiss duo of Christian Gschwend and Kay Rauber has been one of Europe's most original rhythm acts for over two decades. Bubble Beatz was founded in 1999 in St. Gallen. With their unique blend of drumming, performance, humor, and live electronics, they have conquered numerous festivals and stages both domestically and internationally, even touring as far as China. The trademark of the two musicians is the so-called "Trash Percussion": playing on anything that sounds. Surprising sound worlds and infectious grooves emerge from everyday objects, scrap, and self-made instruments. Bubble Beatz combine the highest musical precision with a lot of joy and creativity in playing. With their current program "schlagZEUGS," Bubble Beatz return to their roots. After years on big stages, they present a deliberately reduced, intimate show. Instead of large scaffolding structures, the sounds and stories of everyday objects are at the center. The audience experiences melodies created on an egg slicer or a wooden box turned into a musical instrument. Samba, rock, techno, folk music, and surprising sound experiments merge into a humorous yet virtuosic stage experience. Bubble Beatz delight young and old alike.
