Romulus the Great, the last emperor of the Roman Empire, is sitting at his summer residence and cares not a bit about state affairs. He is only interested in his poultry breeding. His ministers become nervous. They beg the emperor to finally do something against the advancing Germans. But Romulus does not even dream of it. He is also not willing to save his empire by selling it to the industrialist Cäsar Rupf. On the contrary: Romulus has deliberately positioned himself at the top of the Roman Empire to let it fall into ruin. Romulus’ entourage flees. He alone faces the Germans when they reach his villa.
