Description

Matthias Noser and filmmaker Christoph Rahm met 30 years ago in the psychiatric hospital, where Christoph was working as a psychiatric nurse at the time. From their first encounter, a friendship developed — far from institutional settings and after a long distance. The connecting force between them is their shared enthusiasm for creativity and existential questions. Christoph later pursued his path as a filmmaker and began to accompany Matthias with the camera. This resulted in a very personal and multi-layered portrait. «Rockstar Matthias» allows us to dive into Matthias' music, image, and thoughts, and tells of friendship, mental illness, resilience, and the unifying power of art.
