Rivermoans
Artist Marie Tučková worked with sound in her installations for so long that she became a musician performing under the name Rivermoans. A laureate of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award for 2020 and a recent holder of the Vinyls, she sings on her debut EP Wet Scores for Listening (2025) about rivers, motherhood, and the interference of politicians in women's reproductive rights. She draws inspiration from the mystic Hildegard of Bingen and the concept of deep listening by composer Pauline Oliveros. Her music, straddling ambient and folk, is full of fragility and imagination, taking listeners on an adventurous journey that is not always calm. Jan Běťák
A singer-songwriter of flowers and ecological crises. Musician Jan Běťák has infused echoes of alternative and jazz into his tender, lyrical folk, with natural motifs being essential to him. He was a member of the band Bezobratři, is active in Lilium Liste, and has shifted from interpreting folk songs to his own original work. In 2023, he debuted with the solo album Imitation of Writing. His latest recording, Language of Flowers, offers melancholic songs soaked in fear for the planet's future. The recording received an Angel Award in the Folk category, which has already been accepted by the trio Jan Běťák and the band.
