Description
Astrid Alexandre is a singer and multi-instrumentalist with Belgian-Romansh roots. At the heart of her work is her voice, shaped by her lived experience of multilingualism: Romansh, French, and English each open up their own sonic spaces. With “Resonanzas,” her third album, Alexandre explores an idea that is at once musical, physical, and personal: resonance as a shared vibration. The music serves as the starting point for a project that extends far beyond the album itself. Although released as a solo album, “Resonanzas” thrives on collaborative creation: double bassist Rees Coray is a central partner in shaping the sound, while other contributors enrich the project with musical motifs, texts, and audiovisual elements. The result is a transdisciplinary network that builds bridges between languages and voices, between individual expression and shared dialogue.
