Description

The exhibition presents archaeological artifacts from the Canton of Zug, including items from three UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the Late Bronze Age settlement of Zug-Sumpf and the Neolithic double axe from Cham-Eslen. Highlights include wooden parts of a Roman mill, terracotta figurines from a sanctuary, and mammoth remains from Rotkreuz. The museum offers life-sized scenes, models, and storytelling, making it especially appealing for families and school groups to explore past eras in an interactive way. Educational workshops, guided tours, family events, and children’s birthday parties are regularly organized to bring prehistory to life for visitors of all ages.

General Information

Located at Hofstrasse 15, 6300 Zug, Switzerland. Entry is free for children up to 16 and on Sundays and holidays for all. Adults pay CHF 5 at the museum reception. No tickets are sold on Eventfrog; tickets available at the museum reception.
