When a 'little giraffe' becomes 'Grand-Mamoune': journey

Description

After taking drawing classes at the La Chaux-de-Fonds School of Art, I discovered watercolor in the Netherlands and prepared, in Leiden (Netherlands), a diploma in illustration. Simultaneously, I prepared a diploma in teaching French, by correspondence at the Domi Institute in Lausanne. Returning to Cressier-Neuchâtel with my family since 1992, I have dedicated myself to writing and illustrating children's books, and regularly exhibit in French-speaking Switzerland. In 2023, I joined the committee of the AENJ (Association of Neuchâtel and Jura Writers), and participate in the first Book Month in May 2024. In 2022-2023, I underwent training in creative writing, which culminated in obtaining a diploma. Currently, I am dedicating time to writing chronicles and other illustrated stories, marking a new step in my journey. By Marianne Schneeberger
