Description
This exhibition will intertwine several artistic practices: free embroidery incorporated into ceramics and porcelain, as well as photography. But what unites these practices is the eye, which decides everything! France Jaton loves porcelain for its elasticity and finesse. She experiments, tests, tries to continue... or not, while intervening as little as possible on her pieces and trying to make them as fine as possible. Over time, she tends to incorporate her non-directed embroidery made of stitches into her casting by creating her own molds. Each of her pieces becomes unique; she creates more 'families' than series, because the same gesture is never reproduced, it is always the eye that decides! Similarly, Anicée Willemin observes through her screen, and it is also her eye that decides the framing, her photos having a very raw aspect, #nofilter. She is in pursuit of an obsessive quest for light, the moment, poetic acts, poetry, and a form of the supernatural in the present moment. Photography is like a poetic shot. Geometric lines, shapes, and resurfaces appear, true points of convergence between the artistic practices of France Jaton and Anicée Willemin.
