Paï / Der gewalttätige Engel

Description

“Paï” means “land” in the dialect. The Neuchâtel painter and illustrator L’Ange Violent will exhibit several works from his recent projects that focus on the landscapes of the region, its inhabitants, and its wildlife. Joakim Monnier, alias L’Ange Violent, is a painter and illustrator from Neuchâtel. After studying graphic design at the School of Applied Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds and traveling the world with his wife, he began his career as a freelance graphic designer and utilized several studios in the city of Neuchâtel. He then joined various artist collectives, with which he organized several artist residencies, workshops, and exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad. He now focuses on his personal projects from his home in Cortaillod, dividing his time between illustration assignments and his painting when he is not taking care of his two children.
