Klara Milkowski is a comedian. She criticizes the 'woke zeitgeist', 'gender madness', 'left-green corruption' – and fills large halls with her act. Her broadcaster eventually finds her too hot and removes her from prime time. Social media crowns her as a martyr of free speech. Oskar Falk, a right-wing intellectual, is exactly looking for: a face for his party. He finds Klara. And Klara realizes too late that politics is just show for her – but serious for him. With Klara as a figurehead, the party 'Our House Germany' actually wins the federal election. What follows is not a thunderclap but a series of inconspicuous administrative acts. A decree here, a personnel change there, a legislative amendment in third reading. In the end, everything is legal. And nothing is as it was. Klara falls victim to the machinery she helped to propel. Alistair Beaton, Britain’s sharpest political satirist and author Dietmar Jacobs (Harald Schmidt, Pastewka, Ladykracher) wanted to write a futuristic dystopia. A what-if farce. A parody.
