The WABE Association invites you to the annual public lecture "Genetic Testing Using Breast Cancer as an Example." Once a year, the WABE Association invites the public to a special lecture to discuss topics that can affect us all. On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, the focus will be on a topic that repeatedly raises questions: Genetic testing using breast cancer as an example. We welcome Dr. med. Mareike Buchmann as the speaker at the Hotel Drei Könige in Einsiedeln. In her lecture, she will explain how our genetic makeup is related to cancer and what consequences a test result can have for personal prevention. The lecture will address questions such as: Do I even want to know what is in my genes? What would this knowledge change for me and my family? Dr. Buchmann offers guidance with her lecture to make these difficult decisions more understandable. It is important to know that this evening is for general information and no individual genetic counseling will take place today. The public lecture begins at 7:00 PM. After the lecture and Q&A session, all visitors are warmly invited to a joint aperitif and will have the opportunity to meet Ms. Buchmann personally. Admission is free. Those who appreciate the work of the WABE Association are welcome to make a voluntary contribution to the collection.
