The next edition of Psychedelic Cinema will take place on September 28 with the film The Last Shaman at Gabriel Loci. After the film, there will be a discussion with Amazon guide and South American culture expert Ondřej Bahník. The film is in its original English version with Czech subtitles. The discussion will be in Czech. ABOUT THE FILM: Director Raz Degan tells the story of James Freeman, a young man who decides to take his fate into his own hands after facing an incurable depression. He embarks on a transformative journey into the Amazon jungle, which brings him a deeper understanding of himself and acceptance of his identity. During this journey, he encounters the healing effects of traditional plant medicine ayahuasca and the culture and world surrounding it. DISCUSSION GUEST Ondřej Bahník has been engaged in herbalism, healing, and personal development for over 16 years. He completed Grof Transpersonal Training and uses his experiences in individual and group work with people. His main focus is on the integration of expanded states of consciousness and assistance in psychospiritual crises. He is a guide in the Amazon and Andes, where he regularly visits indigenous peoples, primarily the Inga and Kamëntsá tribes. He co-founded the Asaya association and has participated in many projects and conferences. He collaborates on a project sharing knowledge of traditional guides and healers from the Amazon and Mesoamerica under the auspices of the Venezuelan United Nations Association (ANUV). __________________________________________________________________ Psychedelic Cinema is a concept under the auspices of the Czech Psychedelic Society, where visitors can look forward to regular screenings of films with psychedelic themes and subsequent discussions with experts from various fields.
