Description

In a quaint small town in Switzerland, something astonishing happens: hardly founded, Sabin and Schanti shake up the cultural scene with their association Polifon Pervers and a new vision of "Onderhaltig." Risk-taking and clever, they rise as theater producers to national prominence and gather an illustrious circle around them. The association for "Onderhaltig" subordinated everything to success throughout the story, and soon all kinds of fraud followed the first irregularities. Béla Rothenbühler continues the tradition of the picaresque novel in his second novel – this time with female impostors and in Lucerne German. Béla Rothenbühler, born 1990 in Reussbühl, is a freelance dramaturg, author, and musician. Since 2016, he has worked under the label Fetter Vetter & Hommage in the independent theater scene in and around Lucerne. His debut novel Provenzhauptschtadt was published in 2021 by the Lucerne publisher Der gesunde Menschenversand in the edition spoken script. His second novel Polifon Pervers will be published there in 2024. Polifon Pervers made the shortlist for the Swiss Book Prize 2024, won the Swiss Literature Prize 2025, and is published in High German and French translations by Voland & Quist and Éditions d'en bas. Stefan Schönholzer is a freelance actor, director, speaker, and songwriter. His first steps on stage were as a rapper under the pseudonym Rotchopf. The beats come from the Zurich-based Al Hug, whose samples have been used by greats like Chance the Rapper. Through music, he discovered his fascination for theater.
