Description
The exhibition "Art in the Park" presents the sculpture series "Solitaire" by Markus Bless. The Paris-trained sculptor has been dealing with the theme "Human and Environment" for over 40 years. His works in abstract forms aim to direct perception to the essential through reduction. The "Solitaire" concept explores the complex relationship between loneliness and society. The term "Solitaire" is deliberately ambiguous and describes both loneliness and uniqueness, a loner as well as a single-cut diamond. The sculptures, whose movement results from a cut in the material, symbolize not only the hardness of human struggle but also the necessity of movement and change. The empty spaces around the sculptures are no coincidence; they invite viewers to look beyond the obvious and perceive new things. Bless aims to empower people through his work to be braver and to become aware of their uniqueness. As Michelangelo said: "Art has the task of keeping alive what is so important and necessary for us humans." The exhibition has ended; the exhibits in the park are freely accessible at any time.
