Description

Benno Zimmermann, a mushroom inspector and landscape guide, leads an educational excursion through the forest, revealing the diversity of fungi, their biological relationships, and tips for recognition and preparation. Participants will learn about the differences between edible and deadly mushrooms, including the edible porcini and the poisonous death cap, and gain insights into mushroom ecology and conservation. The event includes practical advice on cooking and preserving mushrooms.

General Information

Held at the parking lot of Schule Oeschgen, Switzerland. Registration required. Tickets are not sold on Eventfrog; prices are CHF 30 for adults, CHF 15 for children (4-15 years), and CHF 80 for families. Participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, and bring a mushroom basket and pocket knife if available.
