On Friday, November 20, 2026, Peter Schärli will be at Kreuz Nidau with his current project «So auch!», which features Elian Zeitel (vocals), Sonja Bossart (double bass), Ben Jeger (accordion), and Samuel Schärli (drums). Unique in its kind, the group's music blends all sorts of sounds, stories, and timbres from a multitude of regions around the globe. For Peter Schärli and his musicians, homeland is not something rigid and narrow, but rather a living, changing, and open concept. Thus, their compositions are concentrated impressions and emotions born from their travels, the encounters they have made, and their cultural wanderings through more or less intact worlds. They create warm, curious, and expressive music that resonates with a wide audience. Peter Schärli is particularly happy to reunite with accordionist Ben Jeger, with whom he has collaborated for a long time: Schärli was once the trumpeter of the Orkester Ben Jeger, they played together the music of the play «Katharina Knie» by Carl Zuckmayer, and toured for years with the Federlos circus. Ben Jeger was also a member of the imaginary folklore group Kadash.
