Description
European premiere of a captivating sound world combining early music, contemporary jazz, and electronic elements. In the spirit of experimentation, Peter Evans and Ron Stabinsky have invited the great cornet master and early music scholar Lambert Colson as a special guest for the evening, who deepens and continues their idea with a solid practice, versatile emotionality, and sensitive lightness. In the tradition of early music, the focus is on the love of sound, timbre, improvisation, and compositional precision. Their work actively engages with the paradoxical history of performing "early music" – a practice that seeks to harmonize the known and the unknown while constantly uncovering new possibilities – which is also essential in jazz. Both Evans and Stabinsky have dedicated decades to improvisation across a variety of styles and traditions, making this collaboration a natural part of their creative development. Line-up: Lambert Colson: cornetto, Peter Evans: trumpets/electronics, Ron Stabinsky: keys/piano/electronicsHighlights
