Performance Award Switzerland 2026
The Aargau Curatorium is hosting this year's Performance Award Switzerland, which will be held on November 15 in collaboration with the Kunstraum Baden. The seven nominated artists will present a current or specially developed performance at the public event in the Merker-Areal. The jury will decide on the awarding of the Performance Award Switzerland based on the performances. This award is endowed with a prize money of 30,000 Swiss francs. The Performance Award Switzerland increases the visibility of Swiss performance art, showcases its diversity and quality, strengthens its recognition, and honors it. The annual national competition, held since 2011, is aimed at artists or collectives who identify with performance art through their education, working methods, or presentation practices. The Performance Award Switzerland is a partnership initiative supported by the cantons of Aargau, Basel-Landschaft, Basel-Stadt, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Zurich, and the city of Geneva.
