Žalman (real name Pavel Lohonka) is one of the most prominent figures in Czech folk music, known for his characteristic, warm interpretation and ability to imprint personal poetry on both traditional and original songs. His work is based on melodic naturalness and a strong connection to folk roots, which he can sensitively combine with his own authorship. He belongs to those musicians whose expression seems unassuming but deeply impactful – emphasizing atmosphere, humanity, and authenticity. As in all his work, here too reflects a sense of harmony, respect for original traditions, and the ability to transform a simple motif into an emotional experience. Žalman has long been one of the established creators of the domestic folk scene, who have managed to maintain their own style and exceptional authenticity. The third year of the series of regular meetings of the Líšeň band Katka and Dalibor Štrunc with interesting, professionally very successful, and long-established ensembles and individuals in the artistic scene. Four concerts in the calendar year 2026 are included in one common subscription, which you can attend in Brno, in Líšeň at Klajdovská 28.
