Appassionata: the title of the 2026-27 season of Noda BCVS instantly evokes Beethoven's famous sonata and the emerging romantic spirit it embodies. However, the passions of the soul have been at the center of musical, aesthetic, and artistic theories in general since the baroque era and its unique rhetoric. From the first Florentine operas around 1600 to the German Sturm und Drang ('storm and passion') of the late 18th century, the Chronicles proposed by musicologist Gégory Rauber invite you to a passionate dive into this great laboratory that is the baroque era, its affects, and its fascinating repertoires.

At Noda BCVS, concerts follow one another and are never the same. Throughout the season, five centuries of music are highlighted, with a special place reserved for Beethoven, whose immortality we have been celebrating for 200 years!
