Paolo's Journey

Description

Awakened by the morning song of a wagtail, the little bull Paolo finds himself on a bare rock, no drinking, no eating, nothing. But Mia, the wagtail, encouragingly guides him down from the rock and together they set out in search of what is good and important for a bull's life. They encounter helpful beavers, the wise owl, the hissing swan, and other surprises. Paolo's strength returns and he discovers within himself the strangely pleasant feeling of being peculiarly safe and at home in the world. Full of strength and courage, the play tells how a shock can be overcome and a new home found without having to forget the old one: with dad, sister Carla, new friends, and very, very juicy grass "over the horns".
