Orange Lantern Crafting for Young and Old

Description

Violence has many faces. Often it remains invisible. Psychological violence, but also domestic or gender-based violence are often trivialized and tabooed. In our lantern workshop for young and old, we talk about different forms of violence and what we can do about it. We explain why not only the factory chimney of the Anna Göldi Museum, but many buildings around the world shine in orange light from November 25 to December 10, during 16 days. Together we craft lanterns that everyone can place in their window at home. This way, the orange light shines throughout the canton and reminds more and more people every year that violence is not a solution. Suitable for adults, teenagers, and children of all ages with or without accompaniment.
A snack is provided. Appointments for school classes and interested teachers are possible at any time by arrangement. The offer is provided by the Anna Göldi Museum and is free of charge.

General Information

In the lantern workshop at the Anna Göldi Museum, participants of all ages can craft lanterns and talk about different forms of violence. The event takes place as part of a campaign that raises awareness of the problem of violence and shines in orange light from November 25 to December 10.
