Open Day Erbenova 21 Home for People with Disabilities
Tour of the facility and presentation of services
The “Erbenova” Home provides year-round residential social care services to people whose independence is reduced due to age or disability, and whose situation requires assistance from another person.
Our residents are people with intellectual disabilities classified as dependency levels I to IV, aged between 16 and 64, who do not have a psychiatric condition and do not require long-term medical care.
The service is provided in an accessible building with a converted attic. A lift with a load capacity of 360 kg is available. Service users are divided into four households. The furnishings in each household are tailored to the users’ needs and are selected with due regard to their wishes, capabilities and requirements. Each household comprises a fully equipped kitchenette, a living room, a bathroom and a toilet. The property includes two gardens, which serve as spaces for service users to relax and unwind.
All areas within the households are wheelchair-accessible and adapted to allow mobility for people requiring a high level of support. Residents have access to aids that compensate for and assist with movement and handling tasks.
Our aim is to create an environment for residents that resembles the lives of the general population as closely as possible, whilst also fulfilling their need for security and safety. We seek to boost their self-confidence and develop their independence in line with each resident’s individual abilities. At the same time, we offer the opportunity for employment as part of occupational therapy.
