A collective device based on an original idea by Fabrice Melquiot that captures current events on the fly and transforms them without delay. Two authors, a musician, and before their eyes: the newspapers of the day. They cut, annotate, move, and rewrite. From this living material emerges a hybrid form, between dialogues, poems, songs, and narratives. What is played here will not exist tomorrow, nor elsewhere. A press review like a snapshot — fragile, burning, unpredictable, and unique to Bienne. And in the twist of a phrase, a title, or a silence… perhaps a hint about the 27/28 season. Without long speeches, but with just the right amount of sparkle in our eyes and around a complimentary aperitif, we present to you the program for the upcoming season. PRESS EXPRESS Press Express is a writing workshop that redefines the pulse of the times. A collective format, conceived and designed by Fabrice Melquiot: Two authors and a musician create a reading performance based on the regional and local daily press tailored for our city Biel. It will be cut, glossed, reordered, and rewritten to create something new from the lively journalistic material — a mix of dialogue, poetry, song, and narrative. What happens here will not exist tomorrow. A press review as a snapshot: unexpected, brand new, and so Biu!
