Description

OMAH LAY (NG) Clarity Of Mind AFRO-FUSION DRIVEN BY STRONG LYRICAL PROWESS Few Afrobeats artists navigate between intimate vulnerability and global stage presence as confidently as Omah Lay. Born Stanley Omah Didia in 1997 in Port Harcourt, he blends West African percussion with R&B influences and brutally honest lyrics about love, loneliness, and mental health—a mix that has made him one of Africa's most streamed artists since his debut in 2020. With over 6 billion streams and more than 10 million records sold worldwide, numerous platinum certifications in countries like France, Canada, and Portugal, and a Grammy nomination for 2026, he is one of the defining voices of a new, internationally oriented Afrobeats generation. In 2020, he was awarded Next Rated at the Headies, followed by the MTV Africa Music Award for Best Breakthrough Act in 2021. With his debut album “Boy Alone,” he won twice in 2023: Album of the Year and Best Male Artist. Omah Lay's global appeal is also evident in his numerous collaborations: from Justin Bieber and Davido to Tyla and Olamide, he has produced hits with artists from all continents, continuously expanding his audience—today, over 15 million people follow him on social media, and his songs chart in over 80 countries. With his new album “Clarity of Mind,” he is now embarking on a world tour across multiple continents, bringing his unique Afro-Fusion sound to Zurich. Contributors: Omah Lay
