Description
Bright colors, clear mountain views, and the majestic backdrop of snow-covered peaks characterize the beauty of the transition period between autumn and winter. But it is also a time of contrasts. In the animal world, some are already sleeping, while others are still loudly and energetically ensuring new life. And yet others are busily gathering supplies to survive the cold season. The plant world, in turn, bids farewell to the year with bright colors, and of course, we hope for sunshine so we can celebrate this feast for the eyes. Andreas Kofler's favorite color is October, and we will learn what he means by that along the way. Autumn has always touched poets and writers, and we will hear excerpts from their works. By minibus, we travel from Bergün to a side valley where alpine landscapes and their inhabitants await us. We especially look out for chamois and red deer, but also for the silhouette of the golden eagle or bearded vulture. Through a wild and impressive landscape, we leisurely hike back to Bergün, discussing the occurring "natural phenomena." The hike is neither strict nor demanding because we are mostly going downstream and thus downhill. It is not steep; rather, the route stretches with a pleasant gradient back to Bergün.
