On his 35,000-kilometer journey across four continents, he lived solely on the kindness of others, asked for food in stores, stayed with strangers, or worked along the way for room and board.

The TV series "Without Money to the End of the World," which aired multiple times, shows an equally exciting and touching survival story – humorously told and simultaneously documentary-based. The project was nominated for the Grimme Prize and was also successfully published as a book. Today, Michael Wigge lives in Berlin and Hawaii.
