Description

Obyvatelé cihlového domu is a Prague band whose unique musical style is based on a combination of piano, heavily distorted bass, punk-metal drums, and urgent female vocals. In their Czech lyrics, the band sings about the dark places of the world and the soul - all with great perspective and a touch of morbidity. Their music traces influences from metal, jazz, and prog rock - the four-four time smoothly alternates with nine-eight or seven-eight, gentle passages with hard ones, and the urgent vocals are occasionally complemented by growls, screams, or scat. The band leads listeners into their chaotic world, where expectations are constantly overturned and established rules are broken. Their eponymous debut was recorded at the DINN IS NOT NOISE studio in Brno under the production of Tomáš Vtípil.
