In October 2026, the new cartoon book "Oh Kosmos!" by Lawrence Grimm (Publisher: Edition Moderne) will be published. It features around 200 mostly unpublished cartoons about love, loneliness, and the search for meaning. During this reading tour, Lawrence Grimm will also stop at Galerie im Gluri Suter Huus. The artists Nicole Biermaier & Maike Lausen will be present. Nicole Biermaier (*1971) and Maike Lausen (*1983) navigate their works between intuition and construction, emotional experience and formal setting. In the joint exhibition "Between Trace and Presence," both artists explore the hidden and question the structures of our perception. The exhibition combines two independent artistic positions: Nicole Biermaier – "The Order of Traces"
She investigates the textile history of the Canton of Aargau and the landscape of the Limmat Valley. On her linen strips, nature and industry collide – a tension between traditional healing knowledge and industrial utilization. Maike Lausen – "The Logic of Emotion"
She starts from internal images and fragments of memories. Architectural elements detached from context transform into new bodies – a moment of transition where personal memory becomes an open work.
