Description

Dancers Giulia Tonelli, former soloist of the Zurich Ballet, and dancer Michele Pastorini dedicate this evening together with the virtuoso CHAARTS Chamber Artists to beauty – with a creation of music, dance, and Schubert's letters. In addition to the interpretation of the epochal masterpiece "Death and the Maiden," Franz Schubert himself is at the center – an artist who, like few others, was able to transform the fragility of life into moving music. His letters are characterized by sensitivity, thoughtfulness, and the search for meaning. Death here does not appear as a terror but in the form of a woman. She embraces what Schubert, what we all cannot resist, and thus "Death and the Maiden" becomes a bittersweet approach to the end, which finds reconciliation through art. Franz Schubert (1797 - 1828)
