alt rock, krautrock, electroclash • Ústí n. L. An alternative music group formed in Ústí nad Labem in 2007, which has undergone a significant transformation since its inception. The debut Meisterstűck Eins (2009) was electroclash, with lyrics in German and English, based on dadaist elements and comic imagery. In the following albums The Dark Side Of The Raven (2011), Dobro (2015), and Štěstí (2017), influences of skewed country, krautrock, industrial, noise, and post-punk began to emerge. The fifth album Láska (2021) and the sixth recording Ulož tmu are entirely in Czech. Nauzea Orchestra is much tighter and noticeably more aggressive on the sixth studio album Ulož tmu. It relies on krautrock motifs, minimalism, and post-punk energy that drives the songs forward like a flight from a world that is losing its solid ground. The band returns to more danceable grooves, and despite the darker content, the recording is full of youthful energy and perspective. The band currently consists of Ondřej Švandrlík (guitar, synthesizer, vocals), David Kolovratník (drums), Ivo Mikšovský (bass), Jakub Švandrlík (guitar), and Klára Suchanková (violin, vocals).
