Naturally 7 - Closer Look - 25 Years of Naturally 7

Description

– Unlike any other, breathtaking, fascinating – NATURALLY 7 creates the multifaceted sound universe of an entire band, from the sound of drums, bass, guitar, harmonica, or even trombone – and all without instruments! The 7 men sing a cappella, but they are incomparable to many other groups in this genre, as few achieve such a perfect sound. Sometimes it's R’n’B, soul, or hip-hop, sometimes gospel, pop, or even rock. With playful perfection and absolutely impressive musical and interpersonal harmony, NATURALLY 7 consistently provides their audience with unforgettable experiences of an extraordinary kind. In addition to their musical talent, the seven vocal artists are also great entertainers, and their presence on stage reaches every seat in the house, enchanting every visitor so far. For 25 years now, the 'band without a band' has been touring the world: with SARAH CONNOR and the single 'Music is the Key' reaching number 1 in the German charts in 2003, three world tours with MICHAEL BUBLÈ, alongside BUBLÈ, QUINCY JONES, LUDACRIS, and in 2019, they reached number 1 in the category 'World’s Best Band' on JAMES CORDEN's show 'World’s Best'. In 2023, they are touring with PUR across Germany, numerous own tours through America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and in 2024, an arena tour with bestselling author SEBASTIAN FITZEK in front of over 150,000 people. Therefore, it is now time for an intimate and personal insight, time for a 'Closer Look' for the 25th anniversary of the band. In 2025, the band invites you to their 'Closer Look – 25 Years' tour, for which the guys will perform a kind of best of their band history. The program also holds a surprise or two for the audience. NATURALLY 7 was founded in 1999 by ROGER THOMAS, who, along with his brother WARREN, sought out five more talented singers from the area. The decisive factor was that WARREN wished for a drum set as a child. However, their mother thought it would make too much noise. Therefore, he began to vocally imitate various drum sounds, which has been referred to as 'beatboxing' in hip-hop since the 1980s. One thing led to another, and the other band members also found joy in imitating instruments, which became the trademark of NATURALLY 7. This is also the distinguishing feature compared to many a cappella groups that primarily perform by singing. What comes so playfully easy to the seven Americans, they call 'Vocal Play'. The exceptional musicians, including the two founding brothers ROGER (musical director, arranger, 1st baritone & rapper) and WARREN THOMAS (percussion, 'guitar', 'clarinet' & 3rd tenor), as well as ROD ELRIDGE (1st tenor, 'scratching' & 'trumpet'), SEAN SIMMONDS (2nd tenor & 'harmonica'), RICKY CORT (4th tenor & 'guitar'), DWIGHT STEWART (2nd baritone & 'trumpet'), and NNAMDI BRYANT (bass), are constantly on the move, as their home is the stage. There, the acoustic illusion of a small big band in various forms can be experienced up close. Those who witness it can only agree that this is a 'seven-voice wonder of the world' ('Die Welt') or, as Michael Jackson's producer QUINCY JONES put it: 'NATURALLY 7 is the best a cappella band of all time!'
