The Neue Philharmonie Hamburg was founded in 2001 by freelance professional musicians from around the world. Since then, the orchestra has established a leading position in the North German music scene. It considers itself a dynamic orchestra, expandable from smaller chamber orchestra ensembles to a large symphony orchestra with choir. However, the core has always been the chamber orchestra, which has hardly changed since its founding and is very well coordinated. With numerous guest appearances in Spain, France, Italy, and South Korea, it has gained a large circle of friends among listeners.
