You will enjoy a well-hour-long cruise on the 115-year-old ship HECHT, which operated the shipping line: Pfäffikon – Seegräben – Robenhausen – Auslikon – Pfäffikon from 1911 until World War II and has been back on Lake Pfäffikon since 2019 after acquisition and thorough renovation by the Stiftung Historische Zürichsee Boote. Lake Pfäffikon and its marshland form the largest moorland in the Canton of Zurich. From the boat, you will learn fascinating and current information about the flora and fauna of Lake Pfäffikon, the importance of its lake protection zones, and the influence of humans past and present. The excursion is aimed at adults and families. The boat trips are a collaboration between the Naturzentrum Pfäffikersee and the Stiftung Historische Zürichsee Boote. The boat tours are offered on the first Sunday of May to October each year. The first tours this year will be on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Two round trips of 1.5 hours each are offered. They start at 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM at the Naturzentrum Pfäffikersee and only take place in dry weather. The number of participants is limited, and registration is required at www.naturzentrum-pfaeffikersee.ch or info@naturzentrum-pfaeffikersee.ch. The participation fee is 25 CHF for adults and 10 CHF for children.
