A comedy about everything we are not allowed to laugh about. The successful entrepreneur Mara dismisses her housekeeper because she can no longer bear to pay someone for care work. The AI robot Anansi – promptly renamed Nancy – is supposed to take over now. However, the technology is not mature, and an employee must operate the machine, of course secretly. Mara's husband Jonas, an unsuccessful author, takes the opportunity to write a novel with the help of Nancy. His privileges, he claims, are no longer in vogue. Nancy convinces him to tell Mara's family story. In doing so, he brings uncomfortable truths to light. Nora Osagiobare, last season's house playwright at Theater Basel, already celebrated great success with her satirical novel 'Daily Soap'. In 'Nancy', she sharply dissects the gaps between representation and privilege.
