“Fly, thought, on golden wings, fly... Verdi's third opera Nabucco deals with the biblical theme from the Old Testament about the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar. Verdi wrote this opera to the text of his frequent librettist Temistocle Solera, who learned from historical realities about the involuntary stay of the Jews in Babylon, but adapted the story to the needs of a romantic opera full of emotions. In the performance by the NDM Opera Company, you can see the show at the Antonín Dvořák Theatre.
