Myrta Benedetti: Vernissage Exhibition Bird Worlds

Description

Myrta Benedetti-Staub grew up partly in Spiez and has been living here again since her retirement. The landscapes around Spiez have greatly influenced her and are, like nature in general, an essential part of her life and the most important source of inspiration for her artistic work. Nearly 20 years ago, she started creating woodcut prints. During this time, she produced not only finished works but also countless print products that, for various reasons, were not continued. To avoid accumulating more material, she decided to make new works from old images. She discovered birds in images that actually depicted rocks. And so, she cut prints and reassembled them in various ways.
