Can a flower girl from the London slums become a lady of high society? The eccentric phonetics professor Henry Higgins is convinced: it is not origin, but language that determines social belonging. He makes a daring bet – and makes Eliza Doolittle the subject of his experiment. With relentless training, he shapes her pronunciation, drills her with sequences of sounds and tongue twisters like "Es grünt so grün, wenn Spaniens Blüten blüh'n". What begins as a linguistic experiment becomes a power game – and Eliza's path to independence. Between backyard and ballroom, worlds collide.
