Description

Under the title "Aufbruch in die Farbe," the exhibition brings together works by three artists who, from the 1930s to the 1950s, consistently moved towards abstraction without completely abandoning references to the real world. In search of a new visual language for articulating spiritual-religious, intellectual, and intrinsic artistic themes or deeper natural experiences, Ferdinand Gehr (1896–1996), Petra Petitpierre (1905–1959), and Rudolf Urech-Seon (1876–1959) each created a unmistakably unique color and form cosmos.
