She just celebrated her 50th stage anniversary and is still curious: the great violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter regularly performs on the most important concert stages in the world, and with her broad horizon, she tirelessly advocates for new music. At the beginning of our 2026/27 concert season, she will be heard in October with a repertoire classic, Ludwig van Beethoven's Violin Concerto. The Colombian-born conductor Lina Gonzáles-Granados will be at the podium of the Zurich Opera Orchestra for the first time. She will also conduct a work of Scandinavian modernism, Carl Nielsen's Symphony No. 2. "Four Temperaments" is the nickname of this orchestral work premiered in 1902. In the respective movements, the four states of mind are clearly recognizable.
