Musiktheater: La scoula chi svoula

Description

The story, brought to the stage by Chasper-Curò Mani (concept, musical direction) and Ivo Bärtsch (direction and text), shows the ups and downs during the rehearsal phase for the big concert as a colorful musical theater in a fresh, humorous, and poetic way. The dialogues (Romansh and German) are specially written for this piece, and among others, pieces by W. A. Mozart, Bruno Coulais ("Les Choristes"), Sidonia Caviezel, Aretha Franklin, and many more are performed, accompanied by a 12-member orchestra/band (teachers of the Engiadina Bassa/Val Müstair music school).
Short description:
A music boarding school in the mountains is in trouble and is to be closed due to financial concerns. The closure can only be averted with the help of a conductor (Chasper-Curò Mani, baritone) from Paris, who was once a student at the boarding school himself. The enthusiasm among the students (youth choir "Cool cor – cul cour" of the Engiadina Bassa/Val Müstair music school, led by Sidonia Caviezel) is initially very hesitant. But together with the janitor (Daniel Bentz, tenor) and the headmistress (Nina Mayer, soprano), both gifted singers, he manages to get the young people to sing. Can he also prevent the closure and make the school "fly" again? Reservation necessary: Flavia. Tschenett@ebvm.ch or 081 861 00 00
