Description
Irene Graf ignites a fireworks display of word art with her columns and dialect stories, presenting stories and short texts – SpokenWord and poetry. She focuses on the inconspicuous, the everyday, illuminates the subtleties, peers into the gaps. And searches for an instruction manual for life – which she still lacks.
Laughed and cried tears on the same evening? That only happens with and because of dialect artist Irene Graf.
Irene Graf, born in 1968 and raised in Steffisburg, now lives with her family in Adelboden. Her Advent calendar stories about Mäxu, Frudi, Balthasar, and Doro have made her known to a wide audience, thanks to over thirty thousand copies sold. In 2017, the author wrote for adults for the first time; her "Schmucktruckli," a collection of Christmas stories, became the best-selling dialect book of the year. All her titles published since then have achieved bestseller status.
