Mountain Brass in Concert

Description

A competition for top Swiss brass bands in Graubünden, inspired by the British Brass in Concert, which has been held since 1977. Each band performs a complete program that must meet the following criteria: - Exclusively original works or high-quality arrangements for brass band - One solo piece (brass or percussion) - Duration of the program 30 - 35 minutes An open jury of three experts evaluates the musical performances in three different categories: - Best overall musical performance - Best soloist Together with the audience, the jury assesses the factors of entertainment, content, and creativity. The audience's vote counts for 50% and the jury's for 50%, resulting in the award for: - Best entertainment program The overall winner of the competition is determined by the following factors: - Sum of the jurors' scores for overall musical performance - Sum of audience and juror scores for entertainment program and creativity Tickets: Advance ticket: CHF 35 (Adults) / CHF 30 (Adults IV / AHV) / CHF 25 (Youth up to 16) Ticket at the box office: CHF 40 (Adults) / CHF 35 (Adults IV / AHV) / CHF 30 (Youth up to 16) Seating is not numbered – free seating on site! The hall is accessible.
