Description

Two men meet on a windy plateau and have a conversation about everyday observations, rebellion, and deep life reflection: smart, funny, angry, poetic. The play deals with the place of the elderly in a loud, accelerated society and raises the question of how to say goodbye.
It is a theater project that does not tell about age but embodies it. Werner Bodinek (78) and Marco Käppeli (75) themselves stand on stage. Both look back on decades of music and theater work and give the topic an urgency and authenticity through their presence that goes far beyond a mere understanding of roles.
Hansjörg Schertenleib presents with MOTZ & MOTZER in his unmistakable handwriting a dialogue that is absurd, profound, and surprisingly light-footed. He dedicates himself to the last things with exactly the attitude that makes life worth living: curiosity, humor, defiance, and tenderness.
